Spring Flowers

Here are my spring bulb flowers in my front flower bed: the grape hyacinths, daffodils, and you will have to imagine the pink tulips. The deer think the tulips are their candy and have left only chewed up leaves. Next year I will have to get them covered with netting as soon as they peek out of the ground!

Calico Salad

Here is the dish that I made for the potluck meeting at the library tonight. People like it and ask for the recipe.

1 small chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 can red or black beans
Sauce:
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour

href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWyKBE6xssc9Z9IMOPV9GpwgQ4MtG1NpurMgket0lrKzl5es-4Z_Kg8lB6fRSzi32dIQyUgNmLGN0Vt52G6LGmqfQneGPf50ye0QSGvpqil-43X1kU4ugSn3bEcdkLb2F7W1s2DwQ5bSIn/s1600-h/100_1120.JPG">
It's been a long time since my last blog post, and this is the reason why - the raffle quilt for the guild that I was in charge of this year! The past month or so I have been focused on getting it done, hand quilted. I've had guild members at my house to work on it 2 or 3 times a week and I've worked on it most evenings. The show was March 27 and 28; the raffle ticket sales brought in over $2900!! I'll be posting more regularly now, I've a lot to catch up on.
